
PO offers Coaching from a strength based perspective wherein the coached/ mentee’s strengths are leveraged to the maximum in realizing their potential. The hall-mark of this approach is that throughout the coaching process the individuals enhance their self- esteem even while embracing deep personal / professional change.
Depending on the organization / individual need, the coaching plan and sessions are customized.
The overall approach would entail
- Identify and articulate the purpose of the coaching assignment E.g. – specific behaviour(s) to improve, specific competencies to be honed (e.g. assertiveness) or specific outcomes to be achieved (e.g. collaborative behaviors among team members). This is based on assessments made by :
o The Individual (Self Asessment)
o The sponsor (e.g. The CEO, Manager)
o Critical Stakeholders (e.g. Feedback by 360° Method)
- Discover and share values of the coach and the executive
- Deepen self awareness through the coaching dialogue and / or instrumented feedback e.g. Hogan, FIRO-B, MBTI, DISC, Belbin, etc.
- Establish congruence between individual and the organizational goals
- Catalyze personal growth through the individual gaining insight about her / his potential
- Facilitating the individual’s ability to trigger the influence on the environment and assume leadership responsibility
